Michael Allen Rose is an author, musician, and performance artist based in Chicago, IL. His published books cover many genres, including horror (The Indifference Of Heaven), bizarro noir (Embry: Hard Boiled), cartoonish comedy (Party Wolves In My Skull, Rock And Roll Death Patrol) and the experimental (Boiled Americans). He’s been published in anthologies and magazines such as The Magazine of Bizarro Fiction, Tales From The Crust, and Mighty In Sorrow: A Literary Tribute to David Tibet. His plays and sketches have been produced and performed in a number of theatres around the US and at Chicago’s famed Second City, where he studied in the conservatory program. Michael also works as a freelance writer and editor, and writes everything from descriptions of BDSM equipment to wiki articles on global marijuana legal issues. He and his partner Sauda host the Ultimate Bizarro Showdown at Portland Oregon's "BizarroCon" each year and he also performs and does burlesque. He releases industrial and experimental music under the pseudonym Flood Damage. He really likes cats, and enjoys good tea.
